Safety Working Group

Chaired by Nick Moreton, Mouchel, the Safety Working Group is a key driver in providing a safer environment for both the travelling public and the people who work within the industry.

People Working Group

Chaired by Mike Cafferky, Enterprise, the People Working Group is working towards an industry association that provides support and guidance to members in order that highway maintenance can be seen as an attractive and rewarding career based on common standards of qualification and behaviours.

Improvements and Efficiency Working Group

Chaired by Hannah Shires, Amey, the Improvements and Efficiency Working Group (formerly known as the Performance Working Group) is in the unique position of being able to gather the industry view on which KPIs are used most often and most effectively and how best practice can be shared. The work of the Improvements and Efficiency Working Group is crucial to the future performance of the Industry.

Sustainability Working Group

Chaired by Alan Capell, Halcrow, the Sustainability Working Group is making good progress in its aim to establish the current carbon footprint of the industry. Once this has been achieved, targets for reduction can be agreed by the HTMA membership and steps taken to reach those targets.

Procurement Working Group

Chaired by Steve Ashley, Mouchel, the Procurement Working Group aims to streamline the procurement process to create best value for members and clients and become an industry voice and valued source of information for procurement issues.
