Growth in HTMA Membership

Highways Term Maintenance Association (HTMA) has welcomed Costain Limited as a full member and a further three associate members in the last month, increasing the membership to twenty full members and four associate members.

As a full HTMA member, Costain will be able to participate in the rapidly changing highways maintenance and management environment, shaping some of the key strategic decisions, which will have a significant impact on the highways maintenance industry.

"As one of the leaders in driving positive change for road workers and road users, HTMA continuously seeks alliances with organisations to expand and enhance our influencing capabilities,” said HTMA Executive Director, David Hutchinson.

“We are delighted with the growth of membership and the progress HTMA has made since its launch in 2005. The amount of collaboration that has been generated between the various stakeholders, has enabled different initiatives to get the best input from a variety of sources and therefore deliver more robust and sustainable outputs.” he added.

Chris Tyerman, Highways Maintenance Services Director at Costain, said: “We recognised HTMA’s profile within the industry was growing and the associated benefits the members were getting as a result. We believe that Costain has plenty to offer HTMA in return and are looking forward to working with the other members to help continue the good work the association produces and further increase the influence of HTMA on the industry.”

The three new associate members are Nynas, Petroplus and Kiely Bros. Membership as an Associate Member is open to companies (or a division or unit of a company) that are active in the highways maintenance market or form part of a consortium and/or joint venture business participant in the market.
